Sean Kent is a critically acclaimed standup comedian, host of Resistance Radio podcast, and founder of breakingnewspolitics.com. The in-demand, critically acclaimed comic is currently on tour performing to packed houses in the UK, Ireland, the US and Canada. A “comic’s comic,” Sean has been praised as having “an urgency not seen in comedy since the likes of Bill Hicks.”

Other recent TV credits include his Showtime comedy special, headlining “NickMom Night Out and a series regular on two seasons of Last Comic Standing.” Sean has performed in numerous comedy festivals including the prestigious Aspen Laff Festival, the Laughing Skull Festival in Atlanta, and Gilda Radner’s Laugh Fest in Grand Rapids, MI.
Sean is one of only three comics ever to win both the San Francisco International Comedy Competition and Seattle International Comedy Competition, which are widely considered the most important in comedy. All three of his original albums have received rave reviews from fans and the comedy industry alike, and can be heard on iTunes, All Comedy Radio, Sirius/XM, Pandora, Jango, Spotify and numerous other outlets.

Sean is a two-time cancer survivor and regularly performs at charity functions, including Will Farrell’s “Cancer for College” benefit and the Annual City of Hope Bone Marrow Transplant Reunion (where Sean received his successful transplant).
Sean lives in Austin, TX with his wife, their two daughters and a menagerie of ridiculous animals.
